Life for Zane and Nina is going better than expected. The couple symbolically ties the knot on Zane's former eviction date and discovers a few months later that they are expecting Zane Jr. The nursery is outfitted, the maternity photos are framed, the baby shower invitations are in the mail, and the couple is looking forward to the future. Before finishing her sentence, a tall, shaggy-haired boy entered the living room, immediately locking eyes with Zane.
"Are you Zane Doran?"
"That's me. How can I help you?"
"I'm Zane Matthews, and I'm your son."
