Do they hate reading?
Then you need the 'Game on Boys' series.
Designed to get the kids off their screens for a while, with action packed plots, zany school yard humor, HEAPS of gaming action and crazy graphics to foster a lifelong love of reading in children. The stories also include memorable life lessons and learning moments just to keep the parents happy. Super Legends of Minecraft
Ryan James just loves video games. In fact, he is obsessed with them, and for good reason. Games are cool.
But lately, things are starting to get really weird for Ryan and his gaming mates in the PS club.
A simple gaming session playing Minecraft and Galactic Zombie at Sophie's house soon gets out of control, and before the game ends, the gang are sucked into a deadly and hostile world, where they have to fend for their survival and battle against the most formidable and powerful of monsters known to the gaming world.
Uncertain as to whether they are stuck in Minecraft or some other video game, Ryan and Josh soon discover that they can't leave, and the pathway home is full of peril and uncertainty, with their final moments in this hostile world, proving to be the ultimate quest for survival. Follow the PS gang in their perilous and sometimes hilarious adventure as they live and learn to survive in a Minecraft type of video game while trying to escape back home to the real world.
If they don't figure out how to get out really soon, they'll be trapped for good, and this could finally be the end of Rino and the PS club. Parents
If your kid loves video games, especially Minecraft, but struggles to enjoy reading, then the 'Game on Boys' series may be an excellent addition to your library. That's exactly why this series was written. My hope is that the 'Game on Boys' series engages kids, with its funny, relatable characters, hilarious plots and lots of gaming action, to foster a love of reading.
The Game on Boys series was written for boys and girls age 7 plus who love to laugh and love video games, but even grown-ups are loving the series as well. They're filled with fun and scary gaming creatures, non-stop action, huge plot twists, and tons of school yard humor. There's also some solid family values, hilarious Dad jokes, and of course, the odd stinky fart or three.
They can be read in any order, although it's better to read them from the beginning. Read them aloud to your child and they won't want to put the book down; a great inspiration to continue building reading confidence on their own! FREE: Don't forget, at time of publication, the first in the series, 'Game on Boys: The PlayStation Playoffs' is still free as an eBook, for a limited time only. Reviews for Game on Boys series "One of the best series read in a very long time - amazing!" I love how you put so much detail into it!" "This series is designed to capture any child's imagination and encourage them to continue strengthening their reading confidence on their own." Kate Cullen is also the author of the very popular 'Diary of a Wickedly Cool Witch' series: a hilarious series for older middle grade kids and teenagers, about witches, cheerleaders, school life and how to get rid of bullies, whilst staying true to yourself.
