Almost seventeen years have passed since Tenshi has earned his mortality, and the realms are falling apart.
Unaware that his existence is tied to the fragile veil of reality, Tenshi has spent his time as a mortal painting and raising his family. Where the hardest challenges of his days have been keeping his angelic past a secret and making amends with his teenage son.
During a family outing to the Sanja Matsuri festival, tragedy strikes with the reanimation of the gods, Raijin and Fujin.
These tragic events not only expose Tenshi's past and the raw feelings of a hurt son, but also a plot from the god Tsukuyomi to force Tenshi back into servitude to save the realms.
Desperate to stay with his family and find favor in his son's eyes, Tenshi begins the search for the sword of Susanoo, Kusanagi no Tsurugi.
Will the sword be enough to satisfy the realms and Tsukuyomi's demands, or will the world and a son's love fade into eternity?
Frogs, foxes, and feathers have been haunting Tenshi's dreams. What could it all mean? For sixteen years, Tenshi has enjoyed a mortal life with his wife, Emica, and their three children. Where the greatest struggle of his days is raising teenagers while finding the balance between his international artist career and home life. Hidden deep within his memory is the truth of his celestial past, so much so that even his own children don't know his original identity. The days of battling gods and angels are long behind him, or so he thought. While he has been living his best days, the spirit realm is crumbling apart. A family outing to the Senso-ji temple becomes a disaster when the gods Raijin and Fujin come back to life and attack a crowd of innocent worshipers. Tenshi is beside himself in trying to protect his family while keeping his secret safe. Tsukuyomi and the rest of the Heavenly Council demand Tenshi return to his angelic form, or all of the realms will cease to exist. Desperate to stay with his family and mend his relationship with his only son, Tenshi flees to Nagoya in search of Kusanagi no Tsurugi: the imperial sword of the gods.
