Enchanted Notions
Omtale
There is an eclectic little store in Milford, Ohio that caters to the enchanted. It's called Enchanted Moments, and you can go there any time you like, it's a real place, and the setting for Enchanted Notions. Many of the characters are based on real people (with their express written permission) and the goods and services at the store are available every day but Sunday, so you can visit there and get a Tarot reading or a Reiki healing, or any number of ageless metaphysical ministrations. Enchanted Notions is urban fantasy so there are a few things added--powers that we all wish we could have. A team of women and men are required to return balance to the world. Enchanted Notions is packed with action, romance, and good guys with awesome powers to dispatch bad guys--balls of fire, silver needles, earth, wind, fire, and water. Oh yeah... The story opens when the witches who own Enchanted Moments recognize their new patron, Jason, for what he is; a Seventh Son with massive, unrealized power. The women inform him, test his abilities, educate and train him to fulfill his destiny, which is to return balance to a world run amok with evil strong-men and demon servants. Aficionados of urban fantasy want magical practitioners who don't exhaust their power rings or drop their wands at crucial moments. Why can't we have strong witches and wizards on the good side who have smokin' hot power when they need it? We readers of urban fantasy deserve heroes that kick ass with cool weapons. We want characters that are gifted with mystical power drawn from the Guardians and Goddesses of authentic folklore--so that's what Enchanted Notions is all about.
